Lifting the lid slowly away from the base creates a premium unboxing, which is why two-piece boxes are used for apparel, shoes, gifts, cosmetics, electronics and corporate gifts.
Lids can be full depth for a sleek block look, or shallow so the base shows. Shoulder-neck designs add a raised inner collar for an extra-premium feel. Foil logos, embossing, textured papers and fitted inserts can be added, along with ribbon pulls.
