Bux Board Boxes
What is bux board?
Bux board is a clay-coated paperboard. A thin layer of fine clay on the printing surface makes it smooth, bright and very receptive to ink, while the board underneath stays stiff enough to hold its shape on a shelf. It sits between basic chipboard and premium solid bleached board, giving good print quality at a lower cost per box.
Where it is used
Bux board is widely used for folding cartons in retail, food, pharmaceutical and personal care packaging, especially when a brand orders larger quantities and cost per unit matters. Typical products include cereal and snack cartons, medicine and supplement boxes, tissue and household boxes, toy boxes and promotional packaging.
Print and finish options
Because the coated surface holds detail well, bux board boxes can carry full-colour CMYK printing, Pantone colours, small text and barcodes clearly. Gloss or matte varnish, lamination, spot UV and windows can be added. Perforations, tear strips and dispenser openings are also simple to add during die cutting.
