What cardboard boxes are
In packaging, ‘cardboard boxes’ usually means folding cartons made from paperboard: a single stiff sheet, printed and then cut, creased and glued. They are light, economical and print beautifully, which is why most retail cartons on supermarket and pharmacy shelves are made this way.
Board grades
We use solid bleached board for premium cosmetics and food, folding boxboard for everyday retail, kraft board for a natural look and recycled grey-back board where cost is the priority. Thicknesses from 12pt to 24pt let us match the board to your product’s weight.
Styles and finishes
Cardboard boxes can be made as tuck end, auto bottom, sleeve, tray, display, window or pillow boxes. Full-colour CMYK and Pantone printing are standard, with gloss, matte or soft-touch lamination, foil, embossing and spot UV available for a higher-end finish.
